Disconnection of gas and electricity, Amsterdam
Subject : Disconnection of gas and electricity
Dear Customer,
We have been informed that your energy supplier has terminated its gas and electricity contract with you. You are currently not paying for the gas and electricity you are using.
We are passing on your details to the Municipality of Amsterdam
Liander is asking the Municipality of Amsterdam to contact you. They will get in touch with you shortly to discuss the possibility of providing financial support, if you need it. If you object to your address details being shared with the Municipality of Amsterdam, please contact us within 5 working days by calling 088 542 63 84.
If you do not have an energy supplier, we will have to disconnect your gas and electricity supply shortly.
Make sure you enter into a new contract with an energy supplier as soon as possible. If you do not have an energy supplier, we will have to disconnect your gas and electricity supply in the near future. Should your contract not become effective before we visit, your gas and electricity supply will be disconnected. Below we explain what you can expect to happen in such a case:
- If you do not enter into a contract with an energy supplier for gas and electricity, a Liander employee will visit you to disconnect the gas and electricity meter in your home. A charge will be made for disconnecting and reconnecting your gas and electricity supply.
- If we are unable to disconnect the gas and electricity meter in your home, because you will not allow us inside for example, your file will be passed on to a bailiff.
Please note: this disconnection will apply for a maximum of 12 months. After this period we will remove the gas and electricity connection at your expense. If you are certain that you no longer require your gas connection, ask for it to be removed immediately via mijnaansluiting.nl.
