Controle van de meterkast
Binnenkort komen wij bij u de meterkast controleren
Om het energienet veilig en betrouwbaar te houden, controleren wij in een aantal wijken oudere aansluitingen. Bij sommige oudere aansluitingen, in de meterkast, zit een bepaald type bedrading. Dit gaat specifiek over bedrading met een rubberisolatie en een jute of textiele buitenlaag. Deze bedrading kan na verloop van tijd slijten. Daardoor kan een onveilige situatie ontstaan.
Alleen met een controle ter plaatse kunnen wij vaststellen of dit type bedrading aanwezig is in het aansluitdeel van de meterkast waarvoor wij verantwoordelijk zijn. De monteur maakt foto's van de aansluiting. Op basis daarvan beoordelen wij of dit type bedrading aanwezig is. Is dat het geval? Dan vervangen wij deze kosteloos op een later moment.
Dit betekent het voor u
Heeft u een brief van ons ontvangen? Dan belt er in de komende periode (september, oktober, november) een monteur bij u aan voor een controle van de meterkast. U hoeft niets voor te bereiden. De controle is kosteloos en duurt ongeveer 10 minuten.
Tijdens het bezoek kijkt de monteur onder andere naar:
- of onze onderdelen in de meterkast verouderd zijn;
- of er bedrading met rubberisolatie en een jute of textiele buitenlaag aanwezig is.
Er worden foto’s gemaakt van uw meterkast en de aansluiting
Om de situatie goed vast te leggen, maakt onze monteur tijdens de controle alleen foto’s van uw meterkast en de aansluiting. De foto's gebruiken wij om te beoordelen of werkzaamheden nodig zijn en om eventuele vervolgwerkzaamheden goed voor te bereiden. Wij delen deze foto's niet met andere partijen, tenzij dit nodig is voor de uitvoering van de werkzaamheden door één van onze aannemers.

Dear resident,
We will soon be inspecting your meter box. In this letter, we explain why we are carrying out this inspection and what you can expect.
Why it is important that we inspect your meter box
Some older electricity connections, inside meter boxes, still contain wiring with jute insulation. Over time, this type of wiring can deteriorate, which may create a safety risk. An inspection is needed to determine whether this wiring is present. That is why we would like to inspect your meter box. If we find this type of wiring in the part of the connection that Liander is responsible for, we will replace it free of charge. The inspection and any necessary replacement are our responsibility. This helps ensure that the electricity connection remains safe and reliable. You do not need to take any action at this stage.
A technician will visit in September or October to carry out the inspection
During this period, we will be inspecting meter boxes in your street. You do not need to make an appointment. A Liander technician, or a technician of a contractor working on our behalf, will visit your address to carry out the inspection. For the inspection, the technician will need access to your meter box. During the visit, we will check:
- whether any parts of your electricity connection need to be replaced;
- whether wiring with jute insulation is present.
The inspection is free of charge and will take approximately 10 minutes. If you are unsure whether the technician is working on behalf of Liander, please ask to see their identification. All Liander technicians and technicians working on behalf of Liander carry valid identification and will be happy to show it to you.
We will take photos of your meter box
To accurately assess the condition of your meter box and the electricity connection, our technician will take photos during the visit. These photos will only show the meter box and the electricity connection. They will only be used to determine whether any maintenance is required and, if so, what work needs to be carried out.
Not at home? No problem
If you are not at home when the technician visits, they will leave a calling card in your letterbox. The card will confirm that the technician visited your address and will include the contractor's phone number. You can then easily get in touch to schedule an appointment.
If maintenance is required, we will contact you
If the inspection shows that maintenance is required, we will contact you at a later date. You will then receive more information about the next steps and scheduling. You do not need to take any action at this stage.

Juten bedrading is oudere elektrische bedrading met rubberisolatie en een jute of textiele buitenlaag. Deze isolatie kan na verloop van tijd slijten. Daarom vervangen netbeheerders deze bedrading als deze wordt aangetroffen tijdens het beoordelen van de foto's. Dit is in opdracht vanuit de Autoriteit Consument & Markt (ACM).
De juten bedrading kan zich bevinden in het aansluitdeel waar Liander verantwoordelijk voor is. Deze aansluiting zit in de meterkast. Daarom controleren wij tijdens ons bezoek zowel de meterkast als de aansluiting.
