Liander is your network operator. We are working to develop an energy network that meets the demands of today and tomorrow. In this way we are ensuring that 3.2 million Dutch households and businesses can use electricity and gas.

Your current meters are being scrapped

Our data show that the energy meters in your home no longer meet our requirements. This is why we want to replace these meters. Each year we investigate a number of types of meters to see if they are working properly. If it is found that a certain type no longer meets our stringent requirements, we replace these meters. We do this for example to prevent faults.

A meter in your meter cabinet no longer meets these stringent requirements. This is why we are coming to fit new meters.

Would you like to make an appointment?

We have asked our contractor BAM to rectify the fault. Our contractor will need an hour (sometimes two) of your time to carry out the work. You can easily book an appointment yourself online by following the steps below:

Step 1: Go to Liander.nl/afkeur-bam (only in Dutch) or scan the QR code in the letter you have received.
Step 2: Login with your letter reference and access code. You will find this in the blue box in your letter. This is not necessary if you use the QR code.
Step 3: Enter your details.
Step 4: Click through to the contractor’s appointment portal.
Step 5: Choose a date and time that suits you.

Your traditional energy meter will be replaced by a smart meter

Traditional energy meter(s) are outdated and not ready for the future, so it will be replaced by a smart energy meter. You don't want a smart meter? Please contact our contractor BAM.
