New energy meters still available free of charge
New energy meters
We recently contacted you with an offer to install new energy meters. The engineer has not yet been able to carry out this work. You may have informed us that you do not wish to have a new energy meter installed or you may not have been at home when the engineer visited your house to exchange the meters. In this letter we explain what this means.
Using day-rate and night-rate electricity? Then you need a new energy meter.
Do you use day-rate and night-rate electricity? Or would you like to take advantage of dual-rate electricity in the future? Soon you will only be able to do so if you have a new energy meter. Due to changes to the technology, in the future traditional energy meters will no longer be able to measure dual-rate consumption. That means your energy provider will not be able to distinguish between the day and night rate. However, this will still be possible if you have a new meter installed.
Can I still have a new energy meter installed free of charge?
Yes, you can. Please contact our contractor Brinck via 036 547 95 99 within 18 calendar days of the date on the letter. They will be happy to make a new appointment with you.
If you do not inform us within 18 days that you wish to have new energy meters installed, that’s not a problem. We will simply make a note that you have decided not to have them installed. Should you decide to have a new energy meter installed at a later date, we will have to charge you €72.60 for this work.
Do you have any further questions?
