There are a few points that are useful to know when it comes to smart meters. You can find more information on the points below in the leaflet about the smart meter.
- Smart meters are currently being installed free of charge. What if you decide to wait until later to have your smart meters installed? That’s not a problem, but please bear in mind that you will then have to pay a charge of € 72.60.
- Do you use day-rate and night-rate electricity and therefore pay a dual rate? In future this will only be possible if you have smart meters. Without smart meters a single rate will be charged and you may have to pay more.
- If technically possible, the engineer will install a 3-phase meter. This will help Liander monitor the quality of the grid even more effectively. If this is not possible, the engineer will install a single-phase meter. For you this makes no difference. Would you like to find out more? If so, take a look at liander.nl/3fasen

If you do not want your meter to be read remotely, you can deactivate this function on our website after installation. Should you change your mind later, you can reactivate the read-out function just as easily.
