In Amsterdam Liander owns and manages the gas and electricity grids. One of our tasks is maintenance and replacement of these energy grids. To provide safe, uninterrupted energy supply in the future, it will be necessary in the near future to work on your energy connection and feed lines.
The gas and/or electricity lines to your building are obsolete. This could cause failures or leakage in the future. We want to prevent this.
Liander has outsourced this work to the contractors, BAM and Heijmans. A representative from BAM or Heijmans will visit you to inspect your energy connection and to discuss the work to be done later. An appointment will also be made to do this work. You can recognise BAM and Heijmans by the following logos:
Besides the aforementioned work, we will also install a new ‘smart’ energy meter. This will replace your current meter and will be installed free of charge. The hourly rate will remain the same as that of your current meter. This new generation of meters is designed to ensure that the energy grid is safe and reliable. It is also a practical, simple meter. You will no longer have to report the meter readings in the future.
